“Working together to reduce the problems
and create solutions on substance misuse in our region.”
Greater Sullivan County Regional Public Health Network:
The mission of the Greater Sullivan County Public Health Network is to work closely with regional partners to create a stronger, healthier community. Alcohol and drug misuse hurts families and drains our communities of valuable resources. We work together to provide information, strengthen resources, and support healthy behavior. Our Public Health Network is committed to helping people live healthier lives while ensuring that the region is prepared for health emergencies. Recently, the Greater Sullivan County Public Health Advisory Council adopted an aspirational goal for the PHAC, the PHN, and the community: “Foster a community that supports healthy lives, health equity, and wellbeing for people of all ages.
What We Do:
Engage people from educational institutions, for profit and nonprofit businesses, local government agencies, medical, health and safety organizations, and the community at large in prevention, treatment and recovery efforts.
Develop a synchronized continuum of care that includes prevention, early identification intervention, behavioral and mental health treatment and recovery support services.
Mobilize the community to reduce substance misuse across the lifespan of an individual from youth and young adults to the elderly population, using evidence-based prevention strategies such as:
- Life of an Athlete
- SAP/Project Success
Youth Diversion Services’ School & Community Programs
- Parenting Wisely
- Third Millennium Classroom
- Marijuana 101
- Alcohol Wise
- Under the Influence
- Personal Responsibility Educational Program (PREP) life skills programming
- Certified Peer Recovery Support Coaches/ HOPE for NH Recovery
- NAMI NH Connect Suicide Prevention Training
- Screening Brief Intervention Referral to Treatment (SBIRT)
